The Story Of A Perverted Old Martial Arts Master

If Mr. Miyagi was such a disciplined martial arts master then why was his whole life a mess. He's a single drunk with a dead end job he can't even handle. I have no idea why he wasn't fired because all he did was clip bonsai trees at work when he should have been cleaning up that dump of an apartment complex. He finally gets a friend and its a teenage boy who he utilizes as slave labor to fix up his own neglected slum. Then on top of that he only adds a few pathetic moves to Daniel's self-taught by book karate. He barely squeaks through the All Valley tournament. He's constantly beat up in all the movies and wins at the end by the fluke of move known as the Crane Technique. I think Miyagi was holding back on the "real" lessons in order to milk Daniel for all that he was worth. In part 2 Miyagi reveals his gambling addiction when he puts up the cash to bet that Daniel can break those ice sheets in half at some bar.  Again Daniel was beat up all the time.  Same in part 3.  In part 4 it is also hinted that he may be quite a pervert when he just walks into Hillary Swank's room while she is changing clothes. He covers his eyes and acts like it was an accident. He then says that he used to walk into Daniel's room all the time. Who knows what he was doing to Daniel? I am now convinced that Miyagi was indeed a filthy old man. I speculate that his war experience really messed him up big time.  Poor stupid Daniel was used and abused by an old Japanese man. I pity them both.
